1. Water Resource Minister of Kerala is P.J.Joseph. He refuses to quit the post along with Kerala Congress Party Chairman K.M. Mani and Government Chief whip Thomas Unniyadan.

2. French Company Alstom has won a contract worth 2.8 billion euros($ 3 Billion) to supply India's rail operator with electric locomotives. The Company is to deliver 800 locomotives over 10 years.

3. The Indian Railway and Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has desided to set up fully air conditioned exclusive loungers at Thiruvananthapuram and Ernakulam railway stations.

4. ഇറാന്റെ ആദ്യ വനിതാ അംബാസഡറായി ഇറാനിലെ ആദ്യ വനിതാ വിദേശകാര്യ വക്താവായി ചുമതലകൾ നിർവഹിച്ച മർസി അഫ്കാമിനെ നിയമിച്ചു. മലേഷ്യയിലെ ഇറാൻ എംബസിയിലാണ് നിയമനം.

5. ബാങ്ക്‌ ഓഫ്‌ ഇന്റർനാഷണൽ സെറ്റിൽമെന്റ്‌സ്‌ (Bank for International Settlements [BIS]) വൈസ്‌ ചെയർമാനായി റിസർവ്‌ ബാങ്ക്‌ ഗവർണർ രഘുറാം രാജനെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു.

6. കുട്ടികൾക്കായുള്ള രാജ്യാന്തര സമാധാന സമ്മാനമായ ചിൽഡ്രൻസ്‌ പീസ്‌ പ്രൈസ്‌ ലൈബീരിയൻ ബാലൻ എബ്രഹാം കെയ്‌റ്റക്ക്‌ ലഭിച്ചു.

7. യു.എന്നിന്റെ രാജ്യാന്തര വ്യാപാര നിയമ കമ്മീഷനിൽ (The United Nations Commission on International Trade Law [UNCITRAL]) ഇന്ത്യ വീണ്ടും അംഗമായി.

8. യെമനിലെ സൊകോത്ര ദ്വീപിൽ വീശിയടിച്ച മേഘ്‌ ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റിൽ വ്യാപക നാശനഷ്ടം ഉണ്ടായി.

9. മാലദ്വീപിൽ 30 ദിവസത്തേക്ക്‌ പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചിരുന്ന അടിയന്തരാവസ്ഥ പിൻവലിച്ചു.

10. വ്യാപകമായ ഉത്തേജക മരുന്ന് ഉപയോഗം കണ്ടെത്തിയതിനെ തുടർന്ന് റഷ്യയെ ഒളിംപിക്സ്‌ അടക്കമുള്ള കായിക മേളകളിൽ നിന്ന് മാറ്റി നിർത്തണമെന്ന് ലോക ഉത്തേജക മരുന്ന് വിരുദ്ധ സംഘടന (World Anti-Doping Agency [WADA]) ശുപാർശ ചെയ്തു.
