Cloning is a method used to create genetically identical organisms. The first mammal successfully cloned was a Sheep called Dolly, cloned at Rosalind Institute in Scotland in 1996. Ian Wilmut led the research team.Samrupa, world first cloned Buffalo was created at the National Diary Research Institute at Karnal, Hariyana(India) in 6th February 2009. The second cloned buffalo 'Garima' was born in NDRI on 6th June 2009.
