Preposition and Adverb

ഒരേ ക്രിയാപദത്തിന്റെ കൂടെ Preposition / Adverb എന്നിവ ചേർക്കുമ്പോൾ അതിന്റെ അർത്ഥവും മാറുന്നു. 

Put എന്ന വാക്കിന്റെ അർത്ഥം ഇടുക, വെയ്ക്കുക എന്നൊക്കയാണല്ലോ എന്നാൽ ക്രിയാപദത്തിന്റെ കൂടെ Preposition / Adverb ചേരുമ്പോൾ അർത്ഥം മാറുന്നു. ഇങ്ങനെ ചേരുന്ന പദം Preposition , Adverbആണോ എന്ന് നോക്കേണ്ട കാര്യമില്ല ആ പ്രയോഗത്തിന്റെ ഒന്നിച്ചുള്ള അർത്ഥം നോക്കിയാൽ മതി.

2. Put away = put in the usual place

3. Put back = replace

4. Put down = place down

5. Put forward = offer for consideration

6. Put forth = exert

7. Put in = make a claim

8. Put off = postpone

9. Put on = wear

10. Put out = cause to stop burning

11. Put up = erect
