Combined Defence Services Examination 2016

Combined Defence Services Examination is Conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). UPSC invite fresh application for 485+ vacancies in Defense Department. Candidates who are interested / willing they must apply for the same before the closing date of application.

Age Limits, Sex and Marital Status
1. Indian Military Academy :-  Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January 1993 and not later than 1st January 1998 only are eligible.
2. Naval Academy  :- Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January 1993 and not later than 1st January 1998 only are eligible.
3. Air Force Academy  :- 20 to 24 Years as on 1st January 2017 (Born earlier than 2nd January 1993 and not later than 1st January 1997)  only  are eligible.
4. Officers’ Training Academy (SSC Course for Men) :- Male candiates (married or Unmarried) born not earlier than 2nd January 1993 and not later than 1st January 1998 only are eligible.
5. Officers’ Training Academy (SSC Women Non-Technical Course) :- Unmarried Women, issueless widows who have not remarried and issueless divorces who have nor remarried are eligible. They should have been born not earlier than 2nd January 1992 and not later than 1st January 1998 only are eligible.

Educational Qualifications: 

IMA & OTA :- Degree of a recognized University or equivalent
Naval Academy :- B.Sc. with Physics & Mathematics or Bachelor of Engg
Air Force Academy :-  B.Sc. with Physics and/or Mathematics or Bachelor of Engg
Note :- Candidates appearing at the degree or equivalent examination also eligible to compete. Such candidates will be required to submit the proof of passing the requisite qualifying examination by a date to be specified in the Commission’s Notice for the Examination.

FEE
Candidates [excepting Female/ SC/ST candidates who are excempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a fee of Rs 200/- either by depositing the money in nay Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of SBI, State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/ State Bank of Hyderabad/ State Bank of Mysore/ State Bank of Patiala/ State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debiet Card.
